Awnings

I'm a bit of a novice in the caravan game. We've had our van for a little over a year and it has a fitted canopy. I'm looking at awnings and the measurement is 970. I've been offered a 1000 at a very good price of £200, its 18 months old and hardly had any wear.

My question is could I get away with this? its officially 25 cm's too long.

You probably could get away with it as long as you do not mind that the side panels will be touching the floor instead of being about 3 inches above it. If the owner would allow would it be possible to try the canopy part and see how far down the sides it comes? Usually a line along the tops of the windows is about right. If it looks 'baggy' then maybe not such a good buy. You could always get it shortened but then again that means extra costs.

It is really up to you, if the price is a bargain, if not then wait until a better fit comes along
