$240-Billion-a-Day Market leaves ahead of Brexit

The City of London is being dealt another Brexit blow.

CME Group Inc. is moving its European market for short-term financing, the largest in the region, out of London because the exchange operator wants to guarantee continental firms can continue to use it if there is a no-deal Brexit.

$240 BILLION A DAY 8-)

And what was it Boris Johnson wrote in that draft?

"Do you really, truly, definitely want Britain to pull out of the EU? This is a market on our doorstep, ready for further exploitation by British firms: the membership fee seems rather small for all that access.

Why are we so determined to turn our back on it? Shouldn't our policy be like our policy on cake - pro having it and pro eating it? Pro Europe and pro the rest of the world?"

“All of our euro-denominated bonds and repo will move to Amsterdam,” John Edwards, managing director of BrokerTec Europe, said in an interview. “We saw no benefit in splitting liquidity pools. Our U.K. business will not be able to provide services to the European clients.”

Makes sense seeing as we'll no longer be part of Europe ;-) ............

Has it changed my mind?.......Nope :D ........

Taxpayers leaving doesn't bother you.

You prefer to support those domiciled in Her Majesty's Tax Havens to avoid tax

So you're prepared to pay more taxes to support those who find themselves without work as a result of your plunging this country into an economical basket case? Your faux bravado is just face saving now because you are too embarrassed to admit failure and your Brexit cloud cuckoo dream is over since most people have woken up and seen how they've been duped.

Estimates from the Labour Force Survey show that, between March to May 2018 and June to August 2018, the number of people in work was little changed, the number of unemployed people decreased but the number of people aged from 16 to 64 years not working and not seeking or available to work (economically inactive) increased.

And you've already said on this thread it doesn't bother you in the least that you are getting shut of tax paying workers. As long as government hammer what bit is left of any savings you might have to fund that lunacy, then i'll stand by and applaud any idiot shooting himself in the foot.
