BP shut down some petrol stations

Bulletguy

BP are 'prioritising' fuel deliveries as driver shortages hit supplies - and some petrol stations are shut.

Apparently there's plenty of fuel.....just not enough HGV drivers after we lost our EU truckers. A top BP manager was reported to have warned the government that the situation was getting worse.

The Road Haulage Association has led calls for ministers to back down on their refusal to add EU drivers to the Shortage Occupation List which bypasses post-Brexit legislation on immigration.

There does not appear to be a problem with other suppliers and Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco etc seem to be coping?

Perhaps they have a different management philosophy to BP?

No doubt the BBC will tell us in their usual factual unbiased and undramatic way - and pigs might fly - if they can get the fuel.

BP serve the largest number of stations with Esso and Shell following. Esso are also experiencing some issues with some of it's Tesco station affected.

Pessism is a state of mind and yours must be in a heck of a state as all you ever see is doom and gloom.

Always look on the bright side of life.

As usual you Ignore the issue and attack the person raising it.

Then get in first by accusing them of being the nasty one

I just pity anyone trying to run a business in England

Everything is against them

(unless they are in Johnson's VIP lane for Covid contracts)

No wonder they are moving to the EU

That was not an attack - it was a statement of fact - all BG and YOU, especially you, ever do is moan and whinge about everything and anything - then moan and whinge a bit more if someone draws it to your attention or disagrees.

There is no issue - just a fabrication of the doom merchants sad outlook on life in the hope that it will become an issue so you can say I told you so, look at me I am a clever sad old git..

What a pair of sad old gits you two are - statement of fact.

Just think yourself lucky that JC did not win the last election and that Kier Starmer is not in power - mind you they could make him Minister of Procrastination and Indecision where he would be quite at home.

Fer crying out loud the pair of you - GET A LIFE.

So called News in this country is a disgrace.

Be it TV or printed it so often has little to do with news and much more to do with sensationalism and trying to make themselves look caring, compassionate and smart.

Content seems to be produced by looney left political posturing bigots aiming their tripe at gullible sectors of the populace who should know better than to be fooled by it.

It is a shame that genuine newsworthy events are devalued by often intrusive, exagerated and one sided content.

It may fool you but it don't fool a lot of us.

So the Bank of England said today that they expect inflation to be 4% by the end of the year, do you think that the "so called News" should report this?

Nice strap line, Rich. But do you remember where it came from? Answer here: https://tinyurl.com/n98zp4pa

Not sure it quite bears out your philosophy! Poor old Brian would have been far better off if he'd adopted a more facts based approach to his life, even if the perpetual optimists would then have called him a pessimist as a consequence. Forewarned is forearmed, as they say.

I think you're being unfair. These things are just bits of useful information to be used and acted on, or not, as folk see fit.

We've had fuel shortages in the past, so nothing wrong with drawing another possible outbreak to the attention of a bunch of motorhomers, methinks.

Nope probably because we understand the significance of the ONS statement behind the headline you are keen to shout about

"In addition, and discussed in previous releases, the pattern of pay growth is also affected by the proportion of employees who are furloughed, and the extent to which employers have topped up payments received for those employees under the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS). HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) published CJRS statistics on 9 September 2021, indicating that 5.4 million people were on furlough at the end of July 2020, compared with 1.6 million people at the end of July 2021.The lower proportion of workers on furlough has contributed towards the strong growth when comparing pay in July 2021 with July 2020."

The statement of fact was in the OP and again in CR's post with links including The Times. It was the lead report on both BBC and Sky at 5pm.

So called News in this country is a disgrace.

Content seems to be produced by looney left political posturing bigots aiming their tripe at gullible sectors of the populace who should know better than to be fooled by it.

"Looney left political posturing bigots aiming their tripe at gullible sectors of the populace who should know better than to be fooled by it".............sounds like an intro for Brexit the Movie. (lol)

From eight msm papers only two are left wing with one centrist, all the others are right wing so UK media is heavily biased to the right though some have finally woken up to the Brexit sh1tstorm and begun to turn on Johnson and his cronies.

- GET A LIFE.

I've already got one with everything I want Thanks :-D

Enjoying my new motorhome and getting out for walks - just have to stop and sit down for a break more often than I used to do and pass the time looking in on here.

The only thing troubling me is people who are less fortunate than myself.

Motorhome or builders van? ;-) ........

........

More like a courier's van on the outside

Motorhome on the inside :-D

complete with bed, table, fridge, kitchen, air con, heating, toilet & shower

If it was a motorhome on the outside, I couldn't go where I want when I want.

and worst of all..

Might even have to use campsites and be stuck next to someone like you 8-)
