Free dental checks from Labour now,at £450 mil a year.

Liberals say they would plant 60 million trees a year........that’s 164,000 a day. What!

It’ll be free air next.

Peanut money and far more sense than squandering over £100 billion on a silly train to shave a few minutes off a journey....until leaves fall in Autumn.

The only "free" dental treatment at the moment is NHS dentists which isn't actually free at all. If you can get on an NHS dentist list (very difficult) you have to have regular checks for which you pay.

Why is everyone so upset about Labour proposing to give us all stuff for free? The Tories have knackered the economy and are spaffing money on Brexit like its gone out of fashion but Comrade Jezza is gonna hook us all up to free fibre broadband and fix our teeth for feck all. Whats not to like?

Maybe we are a country of masochists and would rather we just allowed the Tories to give all the money to their rich palls while everyone who voted for them just gets poorer and more miserable.

If the next thing is free booze and cheese that will do it for me. Come on Jezza!! Aldi Scotch vouchers for all!

Worth remembering that buffoon spaffed £100 million of taxpayers money telling the nation to "get ready for October 31st", billboards, tv adverts, even bloody motorway signs FFS! He said he'd "die in a ditch" if it didn't happen so now he's back to parroting "get brexit done" "get brexit done" "get brexit done" on tv appearances. *-)

Who do you think paid for the £53million for the garden bridge, the £103 million to the ferry company with no ferries, the £100million on adverts to say we were leaving on the 31st October, the £1000 million to the DUP, The £6.3 billion spent on Brexit so far?

And all that time "there is no magic money tree".

We are a rich country, why have we got people living on the street, hospitals with people sleeping in corridors, the lowest state pension and the highest retirement age......etc etc

Perhaps our priorities are all wrong?

That was last February *-) and I have lost count of BoJo's U turns since then. It was even before he became PM and got a taste for strutting his stuff on the world stage being treated like royalty abroad by giving away our money: https://www.edie.net/news/9/Boris-Johnson-unveils--1bn-climate-aid-fund-at-UN-Summit/ like he did in London with the likes of Jennifer Arcuri:

Among the allegations being investigated by the IOPC are questions over a payment of £126,000 of public money to Arcuri’s businesses and why she was on three overseas trade missions with Johnson, despite not qualifying as a delegate. Last weekend the Observer revealed that an IOPC announcement on whether there should be a criminal investigation had been postponed until after the general election, prompting claims that the ruling had been suppressed to prevent Johnson being damaged during the campaign https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/nov/17/arcuri-says-johnson-cast-her-aside-like-one-night-stand

Number of NHS malnutrition cases:

2009: 2,893

2019: 8,537

Number of foodbank parcels given:

2009: 40,000

2019: 1,600,000

Something is horribly wrong when this happens in the 5th richest country on Earth.

OR it proves that we are not the 5th richest country in the world ?

( If we are - where is all this money ? )

Those are shocking statistics. What is even more shocking is it seems if you can believe the polls people are willing to vote for more of that. Unless your one of the super rich, backing the Tories and Brexit now is just sheer madness. A massive act of self harm. Dont risk adding yourself or your family to those statistics, dont vote Tory.

Ok, so vote for who?

Not too hard, is it? Labour out on grounds of fiscal flatulence, Tories out on grounds of factual flatulence, so who, of the remaining parties, has some experience of government, and might just be capable of gathering a sufficient number of seats? Only one contender, isn't there?

They come with the bonus that they would revoke Article 50, and are in favour of a further referendum on EU membership after all possible deals have been properly evaluated. That won't appeal to those who want Brexit at any price, but they are already a lost cause.

To anyone else, however, the prospect of a return to something like normality while some grown ups go properly over the pros and cons of EU membership, and then return the outcome of that exercise to the population as a whole, with the pros and cons of remaining, and of the various leave options, including no deal, all clearly explained and open for choice, seems the most sensible way to obtain the agreement of enough of the electorate to get a clear (though almost certainly not unanimous) verdict.

What I think is missing at present is that no-one knows why the people who voted leave really voted as they did. Everyone has a theory, but no-one has actually asked, and published the results, so everyone is guessing - or just making up reasons that chime with their own political agendas. If we knew, as a matter of fact, why people voted as they did, it would be possible to sort out and explain the misunderstandings, and to take the remaining issues back to the other 27 to demonstrate to them what caused people in the UK to vote to leave, and invite them to make improvements in those areas. It seems very unlikely to me that people in the UK are unique in having concerns about aspects of the EU, and very likely that many across the other 27 countries will share their misgivings. That at least stands a chance of getting changes to make everyone happier with the EU, which would surely be a good thing?

Duke of Westminster inheriting £10billion etc

Its in the hands of a very small minority who are quietly backing the Tories to keep it that way, and running a smear campaign against Jeremy Corbyn - which the Mad Hatter soaks up like a sponge .

For once I dont totally agree Brian. I think if we are to stand any chance of stopping the Tories people have to vote tactically. Basically vote for the none Tory party that stands the best chance of beating the Tories. I would prefer to see the LibDems in power but that isnt going to happen and where I am only 2% of people voted for them in 2017 and the Labour MP (Who I know well and is very good) won only by a few hundred seats with the Tories a very close second. I have to back Labour, I simply have no other choice.

If people want to stop the Tories they are going to have to do the same and look at which party has the best chance of beating them locally. It just doesnt matter who it is, vote for them.

Nothing, not even a Labour government will be as catastrophic for this country than a Tory led Brexit, nothing at all.
