I think you're mistaking them with the "Spinners", I sincerely hope they ain't coming back though ... the Spinners that is! *-)

Oh!! Come on. Did you ever see them? Live, I mean, not on the television at Christmas? For good all round entertainment they were superb, an excellent collection of a wide range of 'folk songs' in which audience participation was encouraged. Since they stopped toring these many years ago the has been nothing on the provincial theatre circuit to encourage Cherry & I to go out.(Other than an occasional G&S operetta). Thats sad I know but each to their own.

I like the Spinners - saw tham live in Liverpool at the first Garden Festival, must be 25 years ago.

Are they still alive? *-)

Unfortunately yes.

One two three four colon man a-come

One two three four colon man a-come

One two three four colon man a-come

And his watch and chain a-hit him

Belly bam bam bam. (from their greatest hits album)

Sorry Mike, but like many other music lovers it brings tears to my eyes.

Spanners?

That reminds me of a girl I dated in my youth, she had spanner eyes.

Every time she looked at me my n*ts tightened.

Just a thought but did she have her hands in your pockets at the time.

(Dad always told me to marry a girl with small hands!)

Sadly no but unfortunately they seem to have found the pockets after our wedding and your father is right, small things get lost in large hands

Hi Geof,

Located in Wickford got the Hymer with a droopy snoot, tried ointment but no improvement.

Not too much noise from the airy buzzards but if it is you that passes over at 1145pm every night be warned I am about to have a Hymer to air missile installed soon, the warhead is coming from the local indian takeaway
