Oh dear how sad, never mind

Vile racist fruitloop Katie Hopkins has had to apply for an IVA, after she openly sneered at people who found themselves in financial difficulty.

The racist commentator, who made a living from writing reams of vile content about immigrants and Muslims, had to take out an Individual Voluntary Arrangement to manage her debts after racking up a six-figure bill when she lost a libel case to writer and campaigner Jack Monroe.

(lol)

Couldnt happen to a "not so nicer" person.

The irony is the person she had a go at that brought about the libel case wasnt even the right woman.

"She had written: "@MsJackMonroe scrawled on any memorials recently? Vandalised the memory of those who fought for your freedom. Grandma got any more medals?"

Hopkins' tweet, Jack said, implied she had either vandalised a war memorial or "condoned or approved" of the criminal damage to the memorial - something that was clearly untrue as Katie had confused Jack with another campaigner."

Poundland checkout for you now Katie if your lucky.

Comes to something when Rentagob proved too much for the DM who'd had enough of her. She still has her little band of batsh*t crazy followers who share her warped views though.

Comes to something when our system has become so perverted that only the views of the left wing are allowed to triumph *-) ............

It had nothing to do with left or even right wing views. Obviously you have zero knowledge of the case. What 'triumphed' was justice....you know, that thing you Brexiteers crowed about wanting in British courts for British.

Freedom of speech doesn't give someone the right to libel a person.

So I can sue you? ;-) .......

You did say I wasn't a ex member of the armed forces >:-) .........

But not being a money grabbing left winger :D ..........I'll accept a grovelling apology >:-) ........

Well if calling someone a Communist is libellous you could owe Corbyn's favourite charities a lot of money https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Bradley_(politician)

But thats by the way

Without your changing the subject again, Are you saying those who have not been in Her Majesty's forces are inferior to those who have.?

If not, why do you think it would be libellous to say someone was not in the armed forces?

Mr Bradley accused Corbyn of taking money from Communist spies. Unfortunately for Bradley he couldn't provide any evidence of who paid for the tea :D ............

BTW I doubt Corbyn would be insulted by being called a Communist >:-) ..........

Which does not constitute libel.

Libel is a written form likely to defame or cause serious harm to a persons reputation.....such as posting on a public forum implying a person to be a 'Muslim rape apologist' or 'Paedo sympathiser' both of which are libelous statements.

Well if you have an agenda against communists I suppose you would pick out the worst so called 'communist' you can think of and hold them up as an example of communism. Eg Pol Pot - although communists would point out Pol Pot wasn't a genuine commiunist.

Just as if you had an agenda against Her Majesty's forces you would pick out the worst example of an army officer you can think of eg: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrick_Mercer and hold him up as an example of HM forces. In fact, statistically, ex-forces come top of the list of prisoners and wife-beaters so bad ex-soldiers are easier to find in Britain than bad communists. And its easier to prove they are ex-forces than it is to prove someone was a genuine communist. Not just pretending to be a communist.

I'm sure there are some very good people as communists and I know some very good people who were/are in HM Forces. So its wrong to tar them all with the same brush, and claim that communists are inferior to you because you are ex-forces.

And then go on to accuse someone of libelling you by calling you a liar *-)

defame

verb

damage the good reputation of (someone); slander or libel.

"he claimed that the article defamed his family"

synonyms: libel, slander, malign, cast aspersions on, smear, traduce, blacken the name/character of, give someone a bad name, defame someone's character, sully someone's reputation, run down, speak ill/evil of, back-bite, run a smear campaign against, calumniate, vilify, besmirch, tarnish, stigmatize, disparage, denigrate, discredit, decry, insult, lie about, tell lies about;

I reckon you've ticked all of those boxes ;-) ...........

Hi,

The defence against an accusation of slander or libel is to prove what was said is true.

I have a suspicion that it is still a tort (?) to say something that IS true, but intended to defame.

I often wondered if writing a Civil Service Annual Staff Report, while wearing my "Hatchet Man" hat could make me vunerable to an accusation of Libel. ???
