net-traveller
You may be thinking - not another one! This is not camping related but does have implications for us all. http://newsletters.silicon.cneteu.net/t/218182/1152492/409544/0/ ;-)
CliveH
EXCELLENT! - Damn good idea. Having read in the pinks about someone "lifting" an individuals details via an offshore call centre to get a Life Office to encash a £160,000 investment policy and pay it into the thief’s bank account I most certainly agree with this petition. And the investor who "lost" the £160,000? - they were repaid of course - BUT the thieves were allowed to get away with it - at the cost to all that Life Offices customers - because to publicise what happened "could cause a loss of investor confidence" I would certainly recommend we all sign it. GJH
Signed it. Hope it does some good. I've never been the victim of identity theft but on a number of occasions I've identified faults in systems used by companies to store my personal data. When I've asked them to tell me what changes they will make to ensure that my data aren't compromised in future all I've received are weasel words about not divulging operational procedures.
