Puppy advice please

The law requires owner’s contact details to be on the tag. This Kennel Club site gives examples:

The “Club” in the example is the owner’s name, not the dog’s.

 

The dogs name isn’t required and we never put ours on. Could make it easier for someone to steal if the know the dog’s name.

 

As you will be travelling abroad, make sure any phone numbers include the relevant Internatioal STD code (+44 for UK numbers.

 

If you are worried about the tag coming off and getting lost, you can get ones that slide onto the collar. We use these as our dog will be doing agility and ‘dangly’ bits on collars are banned for safety reasons.
