CliveH
Colin was a world champion rally driver who took his five year old son, one of his sons friends (age 6) and his father up in a helicopter and sadly it crashed killing them all. Great shame.

Thai Bry
Great loss to the world of Rallying & also motor sport.Rumours were that he was about to come back to rallying into the Citroen rally team.WE've got pictures of us with Colin& N Grist(co driver) up at Kielder forest when he was about to become world champion after the RAC Rally.A sad loss indeed, especially soon after the bad news with his brother Alistair.Thai

Don't panic, I got it wrong, I thought he quit Rallying due to a serious illness a few years back, but it was Richard Burns.Sorry to all for any confusion.Thai
Guest Syd
Colin was paid around £5 million a year to drive for Ford. Ford needed to save money so they reduced their rallying budget. Colin refused to work for less saying why should I take the same risks for less money when you thought I was worth £5 million a year before. He was replaced by a cheaper driver
