I accept your argument regarding saying that anyone could claim he/she is the police because something similar happened here a year or so ago with that supposed rise in hate crimes after Brexit didn't it , folk with an agenda able to report a hate crime while not having to give their identity ... I would imagine the reporter would have the Swedish Police ladies name and at the end of his call would have informed her what he intended to do with the footage something Im sure RT News would have checked before running the story ... It is always difficult to establish whether there is a particular bias in any report but I believe at least the stats they quote are unlikely to be untrue since they are gleaned from internal Swedish crime surveys nor is there any apparent flaw in their analysis which again relies on observations about the data made by the Swedes themselves. Contrast that with the twitter woman's rants (which include the assertion that the incident outside the Natural History Museum was a terrorist incident when that has not been established) and snopes wins in the more likely to be true stakes in my book. The lawyer didn't state that most rapists were foreign she said most rapists she sees are from a foreign background. She calls on the government to be more transparent in their statistics because she is not so daft as to assume that what she sees is the whole picture. Your post concerns the observations of a Swedish lawyer about most rapists she sees being “from a foreign background”. One cannot argue with the reasonableness of her request for more transparency in the Swedish crime statistics profiling the perpetrators as part of a prevention strategy. Nevertheless, this lawyer’s observations, which you will note are in essence anecdotal, do not indicate that there is any rise in the incidence of rape due to higher numbers of refugees in Sweden.
