chas
So the Top Gear programme which seems to promote speed and have a bad influance on young drivers have now had another crash, this time a £600,000 sports car, a write off, well done Jeremy Clarkson, and co . Does our licence fees pay these insurance costs for these overgrown schoolboys to act like this ? *-)
Guest caraprof
I hope so. It's the only bit of the BBC that I like. As Jeremy said, being a BBC newsreader is a very easy job, you just turn up looking smart and read The Guardian. More power to their elbows say I and several fingers to the miserable 'holier than thou' buggers who wouldn't recognise first class, tongue in cheek entertainment if it reared up and bit them on their self-satisfied arses. Guest caraprof
I've just read this quote from Jeremy in 'Times Online'. Is the man a genius or what? "Rather than learning about cars I would prefer that my son brushes up on his Voltaire. That way lots of dizzy socialist women will want to sleep with him." Guest starspirit
Compared to the money wasted on period drams, soaps, news, so called reality programmes, and indifferent unfunny so called comedy what's the odd £600,000 car out of the vast multi billion income we provide the Beeb?
