Towtal or other fitter

Hello again my forum chums !

Thinking of splashing out on a cycle rack and maybe a wind out awning on the M/H. No idea how much these things will cost so when I get a quote I may not be as keen then !

Anyone ever used Towtal ? Their website seems honest and they say that they can fit these things whilst u wait.

Once again your wisdom is being called upon.

Thanks.

Good evening all.

Just to clear up here - never used Towtal - and not really after a towbar.

looking to get a bike rack fitted and maybe tempted by a roll out awning.

I have no idea of costs of these things to get fitted, and was seeing if anyone recommends or advises me - I just had in my head that the supplying dealer would charge more than a specialist accessory fitter.

Sorry if any confusion here folks.

My first Hymer had a tow bar fitted by them very pleased no problems did it while I waited. Being new to m/h's I was not to happy about drilling holes etc, so I had a reversing camera fitted at the same time, nice guy who did it. However workmanship IMHO poor (Did me a favour now I think about because I thought I couldnt do any worser job, so now I fit most things myself) an example, where the hole was drilled for the wire for the camera to exit the rear of the van, instead of a nice neat grommet to seal it against the elements entering, I can only describe it as " silcon was gobbed into the hole". However that was not my main concern, after a few months the camera developed condensation and the picture had a red haze, so at my expense and time I took the camera off the Hymer and drove to Stoke on Trent (they knew I was coming) 160 miles round trip.

I arrived to be greeted with distain and told by I believe the owner "don't think we got any in stock" meaning cameras. He keep myself and friend who came for the ride waiting 25 mins while he shovled papers around and us standing in front of him and after dissapearing in the back for a further 5mins he returned with a replacement camera. I am guessing but it didnt look that new. Anyway that camera lasted only a few months, so I replaced it with a Camos, no further problems.

Most company's have problems from time to time with goods or whatever failing, thats life, but IMO how that company deals with you when this happens thats what counts.
