I am sure Corbyn will be delighted Dave. As Brexit disaster looms and we end up either having to accept a fudged deal or more likely as both Trump hinted at and May has now actually said "No Brexit at all" then the UKIP vote will surge. Of course as we have a first past the post system here they have no chance of gaining power so all it will do is split the Tory vote (More than the labour one) and deliver a Corbyn Government. 8-)

If we get a Corbyn government, and you had better pray that we don't, they will blame Brexit, or the Tories, or the weather, or the sky being the wrong colour, or anything else convenient, when they cock the country's finances up again in the true labour tradition.

Twas ever thus but the electorate are too dumb too see it, believing instead all that bollox about fairness and equality - bigger benefits, bigger pensions, bigger NHS, better schools, better local authorities, and all for free, nobody pays for anything thanks to the magic money trees that Labour are secretly planting.

Just have to hope that they bear fruit better than the last variety!

You could but what difference will that make? They still wont be able to fit square pegs into round holes or change the fact that there is no majority for a hard brexit in Parliament or from the public which is why Brexit is stuffed as there is no way of making it work other than staying in or leaving with no deal and they wont leave with no deal.

Blimey Rich. That sounds very much like your saying the electorate dont know what they are doing or what they are voting for! Sounds familiar that. Didnt we have a similar situation two years ago where we promised all sorts of stuff like the easiest deal in history, a brighter future, fantastic trade deals, free unicorns and no more funny foreigners? Yeah your right, they fell for all that as well.

Absolutely Barry, that is the danger of plausible lunatics like Bolshy Boris, Greasy Gove - and the utterly impausible Chaos Corbyn!

Hi,

To my mind, a hard Brexit would be good. My definition of a Hard Brexit is one where we have to fight for everything we want ... and win.

A good deal is where we get all the perks, and don't pay a membership fee.

A bad deal is where we get none of the perks, and the EU makes a monthly visit to collect their protection money.

No Deal seems to be scaring the wimps and Fat Cats, who consider Status Quo to be preferable to a challenge.

Can we mention Trump? I don't like the man, but on this occasion he seems to be talking sense. Why would the USA want to trade with somebody who cannot supply what they want? (And vice versa). He offered advice, not demands. Strange, the EU can sneer, poke fun, and threaten us, and we roll over, beg for more. Trump says something, and the Brits have a hissy fit..

Whether we stay in the EU, or not, they are going to punish us for suggesting the idea of leaving.

Well the last election suggested there wasn't and every poll or survey since but maybe your right Dave. We may well get to find out. The trouble is with the Brexiteer vote nobody knows what kind of Brexit they voted for. They could have all voted for different scenarios. Whereas remainers simply all voted to remain. That's why if it's clear there is no deal to be struck and hard Brexit or remain are the only options it's a clear cut choice. You really would know what you were voting for this time.

Ah but don't forget at the time your Brexit leaders were telling people we could leave and stay in the single market or we would get a great deal which would be the easiest deal in history. Nobody is threatening our place in the single market they said. even farage said "would it be so terrible if we were like Norway or switzerland?

So based on that we have to assume many people voted to leave assuming we could retain all or at least many of the benefits of eu membership. Not so it seems and of course all these Brexit figureheads have changed their tune hoping that us voters will have forgotten what they said at the time. well we havent and it's all on record.

<<< The trouble is with the Brexiteer vote nobody knows what kind of Brexit they voted for. They could have all voted for different scenarios. >>>

Hi Barry,

Perhaps the voting voting slip should have had a questionaire on the back, asking why you voted the way you did? Answer YES or NO.

Do you dislike foriegners?

Do you dislike being ruled by somebody without a face?

Do you dislike change.?

Do you own a motorhome?

Do you own a place in France, or wherever.

Did your boss threaten you if you voted to leave?

Do you do as you are told?

Etc, etc..

Me? I wanted OUT, but couldn't tell you why. Many months later, I CAN tell you why.

The ONLY way to find out what we want is for our glorius leaders to go for broke. Tell the EU to tell us what THEY want, then let the final vote decide whether we accept what they are offering, or leave with no deal ... which is what we WILL be voting for, there is no other choice on the table.

The EU are "tossing a coin", letting us call HEADS or TAILS. The (it's not nice to insult people)s will always win in the long run, as 90% of Callers shout HEADS, while the odds of it falling on HEADS side are 50/50.
