Take on the haters and you reap your rewards ... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-49048431 ... Wonderful news young man

You're only seeing the parts you want to see again. That link says he has won his appeal against a £20k fine.

Doesn't say what he did was right.

Exactly this (bib) though Brexiters have been wetting themselves with excitement over it, typically not reading through the entire article. Grimes is just a mere minnow though in a very big pond and the sharks still roam free.

Except the judge said: 'Judge Marc Dight said that even if BeLeave did not have a formal constitution by January 2016, it was clear it was made up of like-minded people who had an agreement to campaign on Brexit in a certain way.

He said Mr Grimes had tried to meet his obligations to the commission in filling out the forms, and that his actions were not dishonest or lacking transparency.'

Thats a No then so he's got away with it.

A green light to spend what they like on election spin, so the £billionaire 'newspaper' owners domiciled in tax havens spend what they like on propoganda to get us out of the EU before the EU makes them pay tax.

Just like Boris has been given a green light by the courts to continue lying in the Brexit propoganda campaign.

You do make some childish and very stupid assertions. No one has been given any green lights by anyone. The overspend was minuscule and a technical error by a lad who set up the project in his bedroom.

I quote: Matthew Elliott has set the case out in some detail over on Brexit Central, and it’s well worth reading, but the short version is that a court has ruled that Vote Leave’s donation to BeLeave should have been (double) counted as a Vote Leave election expense, despite written guidance from the Commission that this was not the case.

The Electoral Commission screwed up, plain and simple.

However, I'm interested in your assertion that it is the EU's intention to tax people living out of its jurisdiction. That was a bit of a clanger because, if true, it just shows that its intention is to circumvent international law. Precisely the actions of a bullying, fascist monolith, one that we'll be better out of.
