Caddies104
Hi Not really, or not without buying an Inverter? I think that's the word, but others will soon explain.
johnwebb
I solve the problem of not wanting to pay high prices for a TV by making sure I buy a cheap one with an external power supply taking 230v and providing 12vDC to the TV. I then use an Amperor 12v stabilser as these cheap TVs dont like the high volts one can get. Never had any trouble except that a stabiliser failed just as we were going away. Amperor supplied by 07.00 next day. Look at http://www.amperordirect.co.uk/products/12v_Stabiliser.asp

Archiesgrandad
We bought ours from Tesco Direct, it was very cheap and has a DVD player, it works very well, and came with both a 12volt lead and a mains lead with a 12 volt adaptor. We run it directly from a cigar lighter socket. AGD
Billggski
Just be careful your 12v socket doesn't give 14.5v and fry your TV, the 240-12v adaptor supplied would be regulated to the correct volt and amperage. The original one could be OK but I wired one in myself on a narrow boat, which was a mistake.
