Grumpy Grandad
Hi. We are going to France later in the year. Normandy for the second World War beaches, then down the West coast, and then eventually over to Barcelona to meet up with our daughter and family. I used to have an app on my tablet with all of the aires on. This was internet free which was very usefull. I now can't find it. Any suggestions please. Also how do I add my vehicle details to my page please?

BruceM
We use the free app Park4Night on our mobs and have discovered some superb Aires that way – it’s possibly also available for your tablet.

Grumpy Grandad
Thanks everyone. Both Camper contact and Park4night look very promising. We intend going to Arromanche and Bayeux. There are lots of aires in the area, but a bit too close to Ouistreham. Stuart

Grumpy Grandad
Hi. Our plan is to go out via Calais overnight, then stay on an aire just above Boulogne. Return journey through Dunkirk. I assume you can still overnight on DFDS car park. Stuart

snail
Grumpy Grandad, the picture Derek posted is spot on, however you may need to check that it's open, it was only inaugurated for d day by Mrs May and was a rush to achieve it, there were no signs for it, but it's on the land side of the coast road, not the on the seaside, it's in an elevated position and overlooks the sea turn off by traffic lights after I believe it to be closed again as there was much more work to do on the site, carpark landscaping etc If you contact the TO in Arromanche they will respond to an email in English they were very helpful towards us when planning our trip Snail
Grumpy Grandad
Hi Max. Thankyou for your info. I notice on one of your other postings that you have crossed the channel 3 times so far. Did you do Dover - Calais and return the same way. We've changed our plans and are now going out Dover- Calais and returning the same way. Are there parking facilities on Calais port, or should we stop on an aire prior to boarding? Stuart
