But if it is only plated to 3,500 kg is it not more likely to be on the standard chassis?

Not sure what weight Pete's is though???

With the earlier x250 AFAIK nearly all XLWB where built on the Maxi chassis, in fact I'm not sure any where built on Light chassis at first, but in the last few years campervan manufacturers have often used the Light chassis for XLWB.

The CoC for our Maxi chassis shows max trailer weight as 3000kg, I seem to recall for the Light chassis it's 2000kg that should be easy for OP to look up.
