We are brand new to all this and have just bought a 2000 benimar 600st. I am trying to get the exterior door light bulb changed but have no idea how its done as its a sealed unit on the outside and there are units on the inside. I cant see how or if you take the panels off the units inside.

Any help would be great

If you bought from a dealer then ask that dealer how you can get access to the lamp.

Most of them will have a translucent plastic outer cover which will come off if you push or pull in the right place and direction.  Unfortunately some plastic get brittle with age so if you are worried ensure you can buy a replacement before you push too hard!

If you post a photo of the light unit someone may recognise it and tell you how to proceed.

I bought a Benimar Aereo 6000CDL new in 2002 from RDH Nottingham. I think the exterior light was over the door and accessed through from inside. Sold it in 2010.

But to get 100% correct answer contact Ian Hollingworth former mechanic at RDH. After they closed he set up a mobile service for Motorhome repairs except major bodywork repairs or fitting alarms.

Contact Ian for advice.

His website is www.motorhometech.co.uk or contact Ian

on 07528784180

on 01159611332 or email info@motorhometech.co.uk.

I have no association with Ian other than being a very satisfied customer

The attached photos are of 2001 and 2004 Benimar Europe 6000ST vehicles (which I think may be the model Andrew has, rather than a 600ST) and show a light above the entrance-door.

I can’t adviise on how access to the bulb is gained, but I’m guessing it's from outside the vehicle, possibly using the ‘squeezing’ technique laimeduck has just mentioned.

Two pictures of my light on my 710CCX which looks similar.

in the (poor quality) close upyou can see 2 small black square holes at either end of the frosted plastic cover. I'm fairly sure that you insert a screwdriver which disengages the lugs and the cover comes off by squeezing. You will need steps and 3 hands!
