david lloyd
I habitually carry a CCI for our winter trip so logged onto Caravan Club site to find it is now £7.50. Out of curiosity I tried the Camping and Caravan Club - £5.50. It pays to shop around. David
Steve928
What's a CCI?
Derek Uzzell
In this instance “CCI” is an abbreviation for “Camping Card International” http://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/travelabroad/extras/campingcardinternational/ The Caravan Club (CC) stopped issuing CCI cards a couple of years ago. Nowadays the CC offers a Camping Key Europe (CKE) card instead. http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/overseas-holidays/advice-and-information/site-discount-schemes/camping-key-europe
HymerVan
You get a "free" card with Red Pennant. I really don't know why CC switched to CKE instead of CCI because its acceptability in Europe in much less than the CCI. That said it is more or less compulsory in Scandinavia so it is definitely useful there. Perhaps the greatest proportion of CC members do their European travel in Scandinavia B-)
Caddies104
Hi Have been using the CCI card as an ID for the last 4 years without renewing I.e. Dated 2012 and all the sites accepted it.
PJay
You can buy them from ACSI direct. I usually throw my old one away! The sites may accept them out of date, BUt you would not have the cover they provide, if out of date. PJay
Derek Uzzell
Caddies104 - 2016-12-11 10:15 AM Hi Have been using the CCI card as an ID for the last 4 years without renewing I.e. Dated 2012 and all the sites accepted it. My CCI card is 2003 vintage. Given my surname (!) it’s handy when a campsite wants name/address details and saves me spelling them out. Nobody has ever questioned the fact that it’s years out of date.
