Camping/stopover near Zaragosa

Recommended Posts

There is a stopover south of the city, within the ring road.

Parques de Attracciones de Zaragoza N 41.61994, W 0.90122. Hard standing car park, 20 places, water. Haven't stayed there myself but understand it's quiet at night.

Camping Zaragosa is an excellent campsite, do not believe the poor reviews some have posted!. We stayed there for 3 nights in February and would have stayed for longer if we had the time.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, there is a bus stop 100 yards away over the road for the regular bus service into the city. The city itself is an absolute gem when you get into the centre, although as you approach it it looks like a concrete jungle! The centre has some wonderful architecture, artwork, shopping and eating and drinking. There is a good tram ride and the market is a wonder.

The campsite is a city campsite, it is not pretty, but it doew have good services and plentiful hot water all day long. If you need any further information PM me. Don't misss out on visiting the city because of undeserved reviews.

Enjoy

Bob

We use the very large car park of the Simply supermarket (used to be called Eroski), just off the A23 in Huesca.

Opposite the Guardia Civil HQ, so safe and cheap diesel* too.

*currently 1.059€

Have you got the LAT/Long

Derek?

The only thing for Zaragosa is the convenience of it. easy to find

We found it Ok , though the toilets where not all working and not much hot water., but we only stay 1 night each way. The cost in May and July 2015 where 27 eros from memory. with EHU Large pitches, pleasant parkland water/electric close to pitch , usually between 4 pitches.

Pretty good for a municipal site.

Thanks. Different format to what we use, but OH will sort it!

Loverly Area you live in! My Mum used to live in Torquay, so knew it well, years ago, spent summer holidays there when kids where young. Though one of the "kids" is now a grandfather So talking about 1960/1970 s
