IMP
Hi, there I know that it is some way off - but we are planning to head for central Portugal over ( part of) next Winter. Whilst I know that Algarve Sites are open in Winter - does anyone have knowledge of campsites that will be open in central Portugal? We are thinking over an area from Tomar down to Serte. mtravel
You can try the ACSI website by inserting year-round opening among the search options. Or, it requires more efforts, to download the POIs from the archiecamping.eu site and filter them by opening date, they are usually quite reliable. vindiboy
https://ibb.co/LzYQSG6 We stayed on this Campsite ? in TOMAR last winter January for a few days, it is a defunct Municipal site but operates as a free stopover for Motorhomes etc it is pretty basic but the facilities are still there toilets cold showers water fill and toilet dump not sure about EHU as we didn't look for that we spent 3 nights there . TOMAR is a super town lots to see and do, great parkland and water features ancient water wheels abound, there are plenty or Aires around too, we do not use Campsites preferring Aires and Wilding we were away for almost 6 months in total and Tomar was the only Campsite ?? we used, we found that in the Park 4 Night app.

mtravel
IMP - 2021-03-06 5:02 PM Thanks, Max Ian You're welcome. In the "Sites Speak" folder I also answered your question about campsites in the Cascais/Estoril area but I don't know if you have read it. witzend
Here's something else thats changed in Portugal I know you asked about campsites but no one can say how hard it'll be enforced so a lot of extra campers could be looking for a campsite next winter so needs to be kept in mind https://tinyurl.com/y8h6s2nw
