Mattress toppers

Hi all

We have a pvc with u shape rear lounge

We use the seating as two single beds (easier at our age for trips to the loo at night)

Beds are quite firm and have been using mattress toppers to make them more comfortable

Time to buy new ones, anyone any recommendations as what are the best ones, duvaley, mellow?

Any recommendations would be a great help

Thanks Brian

Have a look in Dunelm . They have a good range of toppers at varying prices . we had foam toppers in our van, BUt they can make you sweat. We have since bought some toppers for home, to make the mattress a bit softer. , as I bought a new mattress that was just a little too hard The ones we bought came in a zipped bag

and being soft the should store easier!

We use two single Duvalays in the fitted sheets. Had them for 4 years and they are still in good shape and are easy to roll out and pack away. We also have a van with a U-shaped rear lounge (Vantage Neo) and find that the settees with the Duvalays are easily as comfortable as our bed at home. All of the bedding and more packs into one of the under seat lockers so storage space is not a problem. There is no way we would swap our large comfy lounge for a fixed bed and a cramped front lounge just to avoid the minimal time it takes to make up the bed.

For those unfortunate few that suffer from acid reflux at night, Amazon (other suppliers etc) sell long triangular rectangular wedges in memory foam that can fit under the mattress to provide a sloping sleeping position.

Wedges are OK in the day for laying back on, but tend to move if fitted over the mattress at night.

Might help someone ?

I agree that would be pointless IMO.

But that's certainly not why we have a fixed bed, we have both the front dinette and a big bed to lounge on, so have much larger lounging area than a single lounging area, and also one can lounge whilst the other is in bed.

Being small pvc owners, where storage is at a premium, we've always used self-inflating Thermarests, which roll up very small when not in use.
