No Ipod/IPad

My Peugeot Boxer has a USB connection for an Ipod/Ipad to be connected and music played. It works if I connect one!

Does anyone know if there is a way to connect a non Apple product to this connection and for it to work.

I have tried my Windows Phone but the vehicle flatly refuses to recognise it as a music device. Also tried searching t'internet with no luck.

That's strange as we used just an ordinary USB stick with music on and that worked ok. You can buy a small FM transmitter that may work with your phone, we have one but I have not used it yet, it was about £7 if I remember correctly.2 Our phones are Iphones so we haven't had a problem, maybe someone who knows more about connecting these will come on and help.

Just found this on the internet: https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/car-techs-guide-to-using-your-android-phone-in-the-car/ don't know whether it will help.

In the USB Port I have used a memory stick and a memory stick/sd card combo with music on no problem and all controlled from the radio

In the 3.5mm mini jack I have used a personal CD player with no issues

Thanks - I don't have a 3.5mm jack socket (2014 model) I guess it wasn't an option in my vehicle.
