robdav
Hi Has anyone here used a Nemesis wheel clamp on a Fiat Ducato based motorhome? I'm looking for a wheel clamp and the Nemesis seems to come out well in reviews but I'm just interested if anyone has used one and got any comments. This is the model I'm referring to. https://www.purpleline.co.uk/all-products/nemesis Thanks Rob
Keithl
Rob, First impression is that it does not have any Sold Secure or similar ratings! It does mention insurance companies Approving or Accepting its use but that appears to be all. It is also only sold as a 'Caravan and Trailer Wheel Lock'. I use a Bulldog Centaur CA2000C on our Sprinter based MH and it is a really hefty construction and is Sold Secure rated as well as being TUV and insurance approved! https://www.bulldogsecure.com/view/bulldog-ca2000c-centaur-wheel-clamp/109 And it is only slighter more in price... https://www.outdoorbits.com/bulldog-centaur-clamp-ca2000c-wheelclamp-p-97.html Keith. robdav
HI Kieth Thanks for that. I see the Bulldog products recommended on this forum in most related posts. My only hesitation is this model looks quite bulky. Have you tried any of the other models that aren't quite so bulky? Like the https://www.bulldogsecure.com/view/bulldog-em1000-euroclamp/81 ? Thanks again. Rob
Keithl
Hi Rob, It's the only one I've tried on our MH. We used to have a much smaller one on our folding camper and was impressed with Bulldog quality hence going for this one. The big advantage of this Bulldog wheel clamp is you 'adjust' it to fit your tyre/wheel size the first time you fit it by bolting it together in various spaced holes then it is simple to remove and refit afterwards without alteration. I only ever use ours when at home so don't carry it with us, have to agree it's a bit heavy to cart around. Keith.
Gman
Hi Rob, I have the Milenco m15 wheel clamp, easy to fit, and not that heavy, must say it's not the only piece of security on the van tho. "sold secure gold" too. there's a video on youtube showing the fitting. https://www.towsure.com/milenco-original-wheel-clamp-m15 regards Steve.
