BGD
We've just been chugging around the Algarve region of Portugal, and bumped into two people who others travelling there might find useful if they have problems with their MH whilst there, so I thought I'd share their details here. They may be more useful now that the Motorhome dealer/workshop/parts place that was on the main N125 about halfway along the Algarve coast has shut down. Ian (English) - runs a little home-based business called "Solar Solutions", operates along the Western side of the Algarve coast, roughly from Lagos to Sagres. He comes to you, whether you are on a site or wildcamping. Supplies, fits, fault-finds and repairs solar panels, regulators, inverters and batteries. His prices and service are VERY good (he came out to us whilst we were there 10 days ago, and supplied and fitted two new 125amp leisure batteries for €300). But he does drink LOADS of cups of your tea. Phone: 00351 912 863600 Joaquim Costa (Portuguese, but speaks good English) - runs a business called "Tecno Camper"in Portugal.....motorhome spares/repairs/accessories/parts/servicing. www.tecnocamper.com.pt As you can see from their website, their business premises/workshop/accessories shop is located further north, in Cascais, BUT for 2 weeks each month Joaquim trundles around the Algarve region, visiting campsites and the main wildcamp sites too, as a mobile MH service engineer in his mobile workshop van, which is massively stocked with all manner of MH spares/parts. He'll arrange to meet up with you to fit/fix things in your MH wherever you are along the Algarve coast on his next "circuit" of the Algarve if you need anything and give him a call in advance. Phone: 00351 917 224110. Maybe worth people noting these numbers in case they need technical help whilst in that part of Portugal.....

BGD
(Forgot to add that batteries in Spain/Portugal seem to be a lot more expensive than in the UK - thus the €300 that the chap charged me for the two, 125ah batteries was a very good price for over here)
