Keith T Posted December 4, 2016 Share Posted December 4, 2016 Does anyone have any up to date knowledge/ experience of the tyre compound known as Ultraseal. I had this put in the tyres in my then new Burstner some years ago as there was no spare wheel. There does seem to be something still listed on Google under this name, but further down it shows one called Puncture-safe, which states its the same product but now known under this new name... My next Motorhome does in fact have a full spare wheel, but given that by using it, I was able to travel some 1000 miles a couple of years ago with a nail in the tyre, I am considering using it again. I also seem to remember it was available in some of the outdoor motorhome shows, but the product(s) are still listed under google, although not sure if either of them are up to date. The company is plainly still live and kicking, but I don’t know if there is any attendance nowadays at motorhome shows. We live close to each other and the installer was a mobile tyre fitter who 5 years ago did the job on my drive at a cost of £50 for the four wheels. I drove throughout Europe with no problems. I am now motorhomeless but will definitely have the job done again when/if I buy another van. Even if you don't get a puncture this product gives a degree of piece of mind.
