The Ferry Inn at Surlingham has a car park, riverside lawns with outside tables and boat moorings. Nice spot to sit and watch the boats on the river or take a walk along the footpath that crosses the pubs land. The road to the pub ends at the river so traffic free. Good beer selection and food reasonably priced. Lunch and evening meals available, plus the recent addition of breakfast which has to be requested the night before - very generous portions. Sonia the landlady has not yet listed the pub as a Brit Stop but provided you phone (01508 538659) in advance and check OK for an overnight stop she is happy for you to park up for free; no facilities available but still recommended for a nice day by the river and good meal at the pub.
