Jed
Would be interested to hear of any great campsites across France. We are travelling from St Malo to Interlaken Switzerland. Am making the journey in Aug with camper van and intend taking a week to get there. Particulrly intenterested in lake side, country and mountain sites. Am looking in various sites but would like to hear from anyone with positive experiences. Cheers
mel wood
I suggest that you buy The Caravan Club "Europe" books. These 2 books will provide you with information written by members on sites throughout Europe. We have found that the entries are generally accurate (although some people have difficulties with kilometresand miles). You will be able to find sites in an area you require and the comments should indicate whether the individual site is "good".
jackie owen
Probably too late for this year, but Alan Rogers Campsite guides give better description of sites and many sites are pictured in their books, unlike the CC books. (www.alanrogers.com ) Also, treat yourself to the DVD from ACSI showing location picturs and full details of hundreds of sites. The DVD also has letter in the appropriate language if you want to make a booking ahead of your stay. Have this DVD on your laptop for extra convenience and help on the move.
