Guest Peter Sharpe
I have been very tempted to buy a Vango Carrera 400, as I was very impressed with one I saw one earlier on in the year. Vango no longer have it in their catalogue, so there are some very good deals to be had, but I am concerned about its hydrostatic head rating of only 1500mm. Normally this would be considered inadequate, but polycotton fibres will close up to some extent when wet.Does anybody own one of these tents, who can vouch for its performance in wet weather? I know that the Tigris is available as a polyester clone, but it just doesn't have that satisfying feel that you only get with cotton.
