Which Rucksack

Hi,

 

If I was to consider buying a rucksack to carry my Vango Equinox 350 tent

+ clothing + bits n bobs etc.

 

What sort of size rucksack would I need ??

Hi Dave,

 

As Abi says it does really depend on what you're going to take with you and whether the tent is to go inside the rucksack or strapped to the outside.

 

I have a 50+10 Deuter for backpacking but my tent it strapped to the outside but my friend uses an 80ltr with the tent inside the rucksack.

 

I personally think 80 litres is a bit of an overkill for our 1 or 2 day backpacking excursions as the bigger the rucksack the more stuff you'll be tempted to fit in and have to carry........ which is fine when you first strap it on but after a few miles you'd wish you'd left some stuff back home ;-)
