Leah
Held at Rutland Water in August it's a great day out! We've been a couple of times and hope to go this year. For those who enjoy walking and all things associated get into those campers and drive, drive, drive ..... oh see this is the walking thread, wonder if anyone wll notice ;-) Rutland Water is known to have ospreys nesting :-D . We are lucky in Northants and Leicestershire to have lots of reserves for walking, viewing, enjoying ......... what we lack is a comfort break and cuppa at the end! bigmoney2
Never been to a bird fair, not sure what it is? But we were at Rutland water this weekend. just a one night stop over after doing the motorhome show at peteborough. It's a lovely spot, we saw the ospreys, amazing, hope to go back when the chicks have hatched. Jules
Lizzy
It's mainly tourist companies advertising holidays to far-flung destinations + Bill Oddie and Chris Packham + artists + food ....... and lots and lots of cameras and binoculars for sale set up along the res so that you can try them on the birds there at the time. So long as it isn't wet we enjoy it. Haven't seen the ospreys though! We take our own sandwiches and a chair, buy ice cream and try out the different foods in the marquee. Hope you had a good time at Rutland! We went to get our chooks from near there 3 weeks ago ........ they began laying last weekend :-D

Granada, India, Kenya ........ Photographers, artists, speakers including Simon King ......... Although flying to see birds/animals across the World is a bit of an anomoly these days :-S
