Yorkshire Tyke Posted April 28, 2006 Share Posted April 28, 2006 Nordic Ski ing is just another name for Cross Counrty Skiing on that subject I can recommend a very good site Toblachersee at Toblach/Dobbiaco, Northern Italy (just a few Km from the Brenner Pass road 1st main road left after crossing the Austrian border Nordic / crosscountry run (walking/cycling routes in summer) run for 100's of km round the area - the one passing the site continues to Cortina d Amezzo (18 miles /30km) problem is you have to ski back to your outfit Toblachersee is one of the Camping cheque sites ALtitude 4500+ft Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You burn nmore calories, use more muscles, reduce load on joints, go "faster" (if you want to) ~ and all for apparently less effort Find a group near you and give it a try.
