blaven
Hi, We have currently a Murvi Morello 2003 Campervan in which we’ve been very happy for 10 years. We are considering the move to a 2 berth caravan, towards the middle to top-end of the market, pre-owned. We will be towing with a Subaru XV with MTPLM of about 1430Kg. We are looking at max budget of £8000 Totally bemused by the massive choices out there, but would value advice as to what makes to look out for, and which to avoid. All advice gratefully received Cheers

teflon2
I made the same move about 4 years ago, you will find that caravans do not have the type of problems as motorhom/campervans they are quite simple so most makes should be reliable. Look at the vans on forecourts and find a layout that you like, a motor-mover might be a help but learning to reverse is a better way, do the normal checks for damp etc. and a good stabiliser is beneficial. I think that the softer suspension on a caravan probably helps reliability as opposed to a commercial vehicle conversion as it's designed for the purpose.
