It evidently has a good following. I have never personally used one as I need an automatic. It is more a road going vehicle with 4x4 looks and some abilities offroad, but not an out and out muddy river wader. Also although it looks biggish it has as much if not less internal space than many other vehicles such as estate cars. I gather the new ones have moved the fascia panel back from the centre of the dash to in front of the driver.
It all ends up as a matter of personal choice, if youlike 'em then go for it. Check the towing weights if the B in L has not yet decided on a van.
