My hubbie and I are looking at touring Spain in the next few weeks. We have travelled to other European countries but it is our first visit to Spain. We would welcome any advice, tips, suggestions, info on Spain specific legal requirements etc. We have a Bessacarr 2 berth (about 22.5'). We are not looking for large commercial sites - more your CS/CL type. One particular concern is the situation re gas. When we ordered this van in October were were assured it would take 2x11kg bottles the same as our old one did, but in actual fact the largest our current supplier can get for us are 2x6kg - anything larger is too tall and too wide.

Hi Margaret
If you are only away a few weeks , you should be alright. Do you have an electric hob plate? This helps, as you can manage quiet well on one ring , with a steamer saucepan and, also a electric kettle and toaster.keep your gas for the heating, were possible. The Acsi book is good value for spain, and should be very good value at this time of year. Plenty of campsites around, some really nice ones. Also the CC caravn europe a good guide to sites. We were away 12 weeks last year (Summer) and only used half a tank of gas Dont forget the yellow jackets,(Compusory)and if you have a bike rack a chevron sign There is an all the arires Spain book, but not many small type sites that we saw
