Hi all,

I have a towbar on a 53 plate VW Golf, which is a Bosal detachable model.

I purchased it as a used item but came without any wiring/relay for the indicator beep - it has been fitted and is all fine but I need to make sure it beeps with the indicator. Reason being, I need to take my trailer test license so I can tow with my motorhome and this is one of the requirements.

Any advice please on what I need to buy and what steps to fit, as I want to try and do myself?

The Law states you must have some method of knowing the trailer indicator lights are operating. This can be either a sound device or an indicator on the dash. I do not know if the Golf has a fitting for the dash light or not. If you require just the relay then any trailer supplier can give you the correct one.
