Bulletguy Posted November 30, 2019 Share Posted November 30, 2019 Turned the tv on last night at the beginning of a 90 minute documentary about a Dutch bloke i'd never heard of, André Rieu.......and watched all the way through mesmerised, enthralled, and seriously entertained. Rieu has gone from the brink of bankruptcy (several times!) to world 'rock star' of the classics constantly touring the world 1) because he likes bringing his style of music to millions and 2) because he actually needs to earn £1 million every month just to pay his orchestras wage bill and transport his stage backdrop....the largest built. 8-) Sir Anthony Hopkins is not only a fan, but composed a piece of music Rieu performed for him.
