Schaeffler is closing both it's UK factories in Llanelli and Plymouth due to Brexit. Typically both voted 'Leave' in the referendum......so Schaeffler decided to! Naturually this will create more unemployment which seems to be about the only thing Brexit has achieved.

In fairness to Plymouth they did have a change of heart after finally seeing the light earlier this year and went from a 59% Leave vote to a whopping turnaround of 66% deciding they wanted to Remain and only 34% Leave.

Schaeffler!! They sound foreign to me! Ger em out! Lets get back to having little men in brown coats in draughty sheds making, errrr Flanges and stuff out of iron. (I have never understood what a flange is).

German companies have been setting up shop and closing up shop for ever in the UK Barry ;-) .......

When I was a kid there was a factory opposite my old mans barbers which was one of the reasons he set up shop there :-| .........Within a few years they closed the Hoffman factory 8-) .........

BTW you cant blame Brexit........because we hadn't even joined the common market when they shut >:-) .......

The factory next door was Marconi's...... another funny foreigner :D ..........

Crystal clear to me......what part of the below in bold isn't sinking in? *-)

Global firm Schaeffler announced this week that it is to close its plant in Llanelli due to uncertainty over Britain’s departure from the European Union.

Juergen Ziegler, the company’s regional CEO, saying that the “need to plan for various complex scenarios” due to Brexit had played a part in their decision to leave Wales.
