jumpstart
https://apple.news/A-v_Eec1UQJqmaRBFIArQ9w So the chief Rabbi implies any association with any people who have killed Jews or even criticised them means they are anti-Semitic. This really is a whitewashing of the meaning of the word and actually demeans what it is actually about. It’s a shame the Rabbi isn’t more concerned about people being subjugated
John52
Just because someone is a religious leader doesn't mean they are not politically biased like the tax-dodging Tory 'newspaper' owners. People need the intelligence and the time to look at proven facts and make their own mind up. *-)
Fast Pat
Chief Rabbi Mirvis is a Boris Johnson supporter. He’s also an uncritical supporter of Netanyahu + the violent oppression of Palestinians by Israel. Labour is promising to recognise a Palestinian state + end arms sales to Israel. His comments must be taken in this context.

It does, just as every party has, two conservative candidates were suspended for AS was it all over the press? Every party, reflects society with its own AS, Islamophobes, homophobes, racists etc. It should be called out at every level. Why do you think it isn't? Birdbrain
Hypocrisy lives ... Chatterbox has our very own hate squad who scream racist/Islamaphobe/extremist blah blah blah at every opportunity without once ever proving what they puke out ... Now it seems that same hate squad is getting all tetchy because their beloved Labour Party is being quite rightly called anti-semitic ... Hypocrites
StuartO
Timing his Times Article for the middle of a General Election Campaign does suggest pruposeful and potentially partisan intent but the Labour Party has clearly not resolved the anti-semitism challenges yet, so maybe they deserve to be challenged in this way. Being pro-Palestine or anti-Israel isn't automatically anti-semitic but it often will extend to that - and that's the reputation Labour has acquired and therefore needs to remedy. It's a bit like Prince Andrew's problem - he is now widely suspected of wrongdoing and he won't get anywhere just by continuing to obviscate.
