Hi Folks,

The subject says it all really. I am heading off to Switzerland
on a maiden voyage in 2 weeks and was curious to know
if I can use euros for vignette, campsites shopping etc?
Can anyone out there give me some advice?

Thanks, David

I was there in July and found the locals not keen to touch them.

I decided to avoid Switzerland drove back into France and drove from Cannes through to Dubrovnik along the Coast.

It was truly memorable and i loved Croatia and the Croatians.

Been there twice this year.

At motorway services and on the border euros are widely accepted, the change is given in francs.

A lot of campsite ask whether you want to pay in euros or francs, again change in francs.

I would think that a lot of tourist things, like boats on lakes etc, will take either.

Railways and buses - never been asked so expect francs only.

Easy to get francs from ATMs when there and, of course, plastic is well used.

Cheers
