BoJo slumps in polls

BoJo has the skill of a magician who attracts your attention with one hand so you don't see what he is doing with the other.

As far as I can see, BoJo's only value to the Tory party was these kind of skills to get them elected.

Now he trails behind Keir Starmer the only way he can keep his job is by his minder Dominic Cummings putting the skids under any contenders for it.

Which explains why BoJo was prepared to defend the indefensible to keep his minder - loyalty to each other above all else.

He will be gone within six months they are saying now because of "ill health" or something.

This sounds about as credible as the Barnard Castle eye test *-)

If he intended to resign due to ill health why wait 6 months?

- no one knows what his health will be like then.

My guess its just a sop to defuse attempts to remove him - to pretend its not necessary to remove him as he will be gone in a few months anyway. Any contenders for his job can be accused of attacking a man when he is down.

I suspect this 'resign within 6 months' will become just another BoJo broken promise *-)

Either his health is up to the job or it isn't, and if it isn't he should go now.

Exactly. Thats what did for Corbyn. He was seen as a serious threat after the 2017 election so the attack dog press was called upon to do a hatchet job on him and it worked perfectly.

The papers totally control the electorate. Thats how Blair got in for sure. Starmer has a good chance if he can do the same.

I suppose he will have to reassure tham he will defend Her Majesty's tax havens for them.

Which will be easier to do after we have left the EU.

Their argument against cleaning up HM tax havens was the money would just go to Monaco instead.

An EU tax treaty would have got into them all.

But with England outside the EU, and the Tories in charge, they are safe.

In return ousted Tories get cushy jobs outside parliament, and don't become unemployed like ousted Labour MPs.

why is that more interesting than the Leader of the Opposition you deride by name-calling,

trouncing the Prime Minister your hero "Boris" in the polls :D

PS: If you want to change the subject again how about this

You said once we left the EU we could get on with reforming the absurdly over-populated House of Lords

How is that going so far *-)

Is it that you don't read links before commenting them, or is it that you read them but don't take anything in.

From that link

' Johnson is no longer seen as a man with the winning touch'

Which effectively states that he was seen as the man with the winning touch.

Did you even read the sentence you quoted, let alone the link?

Saying 'o longer seen as having the winning touch' means he was seen as having the winning touch.

The Chuckle twins have always been a pair of air heads unable to comprehend indepth reports.

Starmer slaughtered Johnson yesterday at PMQ's and even the Speaker rightly pulled him up on a point of order when he went off into a meltdown and invited him to apologise to Starmer but Johnson had neither the guts or decency. Johnsons sheep share the same cowardly traits.

Oh that was shameful. Johnson actually tried to smear Starmer with the same IRA supporter stuff they did to Corbyn. This is our Prime Minister FFS! His days must be numbered surely.
