Oh dear, there was warnings about this wasn't there ... and all caused by Brexit. :-(

Oh dear, some Remainers on this forum must be spitting feathers after proclaiming the exact opposite for the last 4 years. I wonder if they are going to be wrong about everything else? 8-)

Do you actually think some of us want to be right? 8-)

I think it was Nissan that was continually issuing stark warnings of its future if the UK left the EU without a deal. We left with a deal! Whether or not it is enough to sustain viability of Nissan staying in Sunderland long term remains to be seen but its a bit early to be posting "Told ya so" threads from either side of the debate.

Ooohh, not so cocky now are yer! You were the main one saying the North East would lose Nissan but at least you have the guts to make a reply, the other ladies seem to be hiding in the cupboard.

FTSE up as much as 3% on the first trading day ... not so in EU countries. US Dollar down, so a double bonus for Energy and Mining Stocks which will benefit Pension Funds.

I think it is time for me, Dave and Aldo to just ignore the ladies posts on here as they are not very accurate. :D

Are you sure those three reports are still relevant? They are 11 months old now (Feb 2020).

To be fair, as I said the warnings from Nissan were if we left without a deal. We left with a deal! I think we would have lost Nissan had we crashed out with nothing and its great news that they appear for now at least to be going nowhere. However, I dont think we are out of the woods just yet, longer term.

Yes I agree, the initial reaction from the markets is favourable. Its certainly not what many were thinking would happen but they have also risen because of the vaccine and that two of them are now ready for distribution. There is a lot of stuff going on that nobody could have foreseen of course and the next few months will be critical I reckon in the battling of Covid and seeing how our separation from the EU pans out but ill hold my hands up, so far its not been the complete disaster many thought it would be. (so far).
