J9withdogs
Love them or hate them, we are all getting more reliant on this chunk of metal that can't count past the number one. What little wrinkles have you learnt? Share them with us! What is frustrating you? Someone on here might just have the solution! If we keep all the little tips and wrinkles on one thread it will make it easier to retrieve them. I'll start: Tip - hold down the Ctrl key and roll your mouse-wheel forward to increase the size of the pictures and writing on the screen.

J9withdogs
I have a query: On the advice of some on here I have been playing with Mozilla Firefox (which, incidentally, can't recognise Mozilla Firefox in it's own spell-check!) I've set the options to open up new pages in new tabs - but it doesn't happen when I try to open up Google (my home page). It overwrites the page I'm on. Help! Hymer C 9.
When I e mail pictures to myself to down load them how do I get then out of my mail folder and into a folder so I can use them as 100 j peg pictures. Thanks Carol.
J9withdogs
Open the picture. Have a look along the bottom of the screen - it should have an icon to enable you to save the file. You can then choose where to save it to.
Syd
Hi J9 There are two problems here. One is that we all do these "special little things" without realising that they are special and that no one else knows them, familiarity breeds comtempt sort of thing. Two is, who knows what "special little things" there are out there to ask about how to do them in the first place
J9withdogs
That's true Syd - but when I come across a little gem, I wonder why no-one evertold me that before :D Like pressing F5 to refresh the page, rather than maneouvering the mouse to the top of the page. billbaillie
Or better still, Press Control + F5 to force a full refresh.Place mouse pointer over Start and RIGHT click to select options such as Explore or Search.Place mouse pointer over an image file and RIGHT click to select options such as: Open, Edit, Send to Mail recipient or view the file properties (such as file size). Not many people use the RIGHT mouse button, but it has a multitude of uses. Just type your message after the end of the {/QUOTE}

You need to make sure you have {QUOTE} at the beginning of what you want to keep and {/QUOTE} at the end, then your message after that. ps I've changed the [ to a { for illustration only, otherwise I can't get it to come out properly.
