Geof Angi Posted July 27, 2009 Share Posted July 27, 2009 Just for those of you that are into the tech side 2006 Bessie 425 on a Fiat chassis with a 2.3 engine, towing a 2mtr box trailer with Suzukie 125cc custom and various other bits, total outfit weight of around 4 tonish All types of terrain and road from single alternate country lanes through moutain passes to motorways, 42 degree's and calm down to 18 degree's and thunder storms and high winds. Speeds varied from start upto 70mph Total journey 3.138 miles We had 3/4 of a tank when we left, so no figures for first part of the trip, the first fill was at Aachen at 10662 and the last at Calais at 13371 on the way home. Total between first and last fills 2,709 miles and a total converted at 4.5 ltrs per gallon of 106ish Gallons (476.31ltrs). I make this around 25.5 mpg The cheapest being 6.68 kuna per ltr in Croatia around 75 pence (this appears to be a goverment regulated price as all garages throughout the parts of northern Croatia that we travelled had the same price) to 1.14cents euro on the motorway at Aachen, 1.099 in Italy on an SS road. In France as long as you used supermarkets the dearest was 0.99 cents down to 0.96. Auchan in Calais was at 0.973 Geof Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
