Must be more convenient than having 27 ambassadors - all turning up at the same meetings and saying the same things ? ;-)

Very childish and extremely silly it does NOT show us in a good light at all and another example of our terrible Little Englander mentality. From your link; "It seems petty. This is not about privileges, it's about principle. What does it say about the UK, about how much the British signature is worth?" "The UK, as a signatory to the Lisbon Treaty, is well aware of the EU's status in external relations, and was cognisant and supportive of this status while it was a member of the EU. "The EU has 143 delegations, equivalent to diplomatic missions, around the world. Without exception, all host states have accepted to grant these delegations and their staff a status equivalent to that of diplomatic missions of states under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, and the UK is well aware of this fact." mtravel
Straightforward. Also in the UK there are four nations. Pay attention that in the near future three of them don't want to become countries...
jumpstart
I think the UK has a very good point. The EU is an organisation , if them then other organizations may apply and it would set a precedent. Its no more petty than the EU stating that they are in no hurry to agree a City of London finance agreement.

If its in the UKs interest to agree a finance agreement then its the UK that needs to be pushing it. The two things are not quite the same. It just sums up how ridiculous this Brexit government is. The world will just see the UK as a petulant child. Now Trump has gone and order has been precariously restored in the US all eyes will be on us now and so far true to form we are just showing ourselves up. Sadly Johnson is now the number 1 most embarrassing leader in the western world. World beating in corona virus deaths and now world beating in stupidity.
