Bulletguy
Blimey.....this must have had acolytes choking on their breakfast this morning! From their Brexit Bible no less!! 8-) Boris Johnson has gone from hero to zero in record time Seldom has any prime minister, prematurely and foolishly elevated to near deification, fallen from grace as fast as Boris Johnson. The more revelations appear over this Government's handling of the COVID crisis since January 1, the more it is revealed to have been bungled from Day One. The frenzied attempts to cover all this up rather than put it right are being exposed one by one. Not since Anthony Eden and the ghastly Suez fiasco, which he personally endorsed, has a tumble been so fast. The reason? Among others, there is a deadly new element in the arena. Boris Johnson is basically an old Etonian, classics scholar (which should have taught him precision), journalist (who was fired for inventing quotes) and politician to his boot heels. It is as the latter that he has a tenuous grip upon reality and the truth. But facing him across the Commons is Sir Keir Starmer, the new leader of Labour and he is lawyer, lawyer and lawyer. For weeks, since winning that post, Sir Keir has been quietly firing the Hard-Left rabble who took over under Jeremy Corbyn. With that necessary task almost done he can divert his attention to the Prime Minister. And he is revealing at Question Time he can take the blustering, rambling PM to bits and leave those morsels all over the Despatch Box. https://www.express.co.uk/comment/columnists/frederick-forsyth/1285601/boris-johnson-brexit-covid-19-general-election-majority

Brian Kirby
Hey, come on you guys, this was Frederick Forsyth CBE, politically described in his Wiki biog as a Eurosceptic Conservative, writing in the Daily Express, that august organ of the Eurosceptic small right. The only reason you're cribbing is that he's right, and deep down you both know it. :-D

The only reason you're cribbing is that he's right, and deep down you both know it. :-D That's the trouble though Brian. So blinded by their quest for Brexit and servility to Johnson they think is going to take them to those sunlit uplands, they cannot see anything beyond that so would have no idea of Forsyth's politics. Their inane responses should tell you that much!

Barryd999
Yes its all falling apart for Johnson now. People are slowly waking up to the fact that they were taken in by a total Con man, serial liar and all round Hoofwankingbunglecant. The faithful Brexit hard core and the new Northern Baby Tories will be the last to admit it and see the Emperors clothes for what they are as they are so heavily invested and must be seen to be backing the "Winners" but its only a matter of time now. Fellow Tories slagging him off in the Brexpress! Whatever next? (lol) Hey! Maybe they will wake up and realise Brexit was a crap idea as well and stop Pelmets deadline at the very last minute.
