GJH
twooks - 2007-08-06 11:21 PM we're just a lot of green fuzz *-) *-) B-) Can you not get tablets for that? :D To be serious (for a change) all the aerial photograph sites seemed to start out (not surprisingly) with major population centres and are gradually improving their coverage of suburban and rural places. When I first looked at Google Earth the resolution of the area where we live was very low but the area has since been re-photographed. I normally use the Flash Earth web site which has the options of Google maps and Microsoft VE maps - I find the latter useful as it has the option of showing street names. J9withdogs
Flash Earth must be several years old though - my neighbours filled there swimming pool in a good 3 years ago. Good definition though!
twooks
relatives in Hartlepool - can practically read their number plate - now who on earth would map Hartlepool for crying out loud?? somebody else does satellite maps - can't find it now, but we were clear as a bell on there - if about 7 years out of date like using the french one when looking up campsites B-)
twooks
:$ :$ :$ *-) not green fuzz anymore - nice and clear and now about 5 years out of date. apologies to Google and apparently we've been designated as an area with a high social deprivation index - fancy that according to Wikipedia anyway B-)
