To quote the late great Jim Bowen!

Have a look at this.

The Brexit Cost Calculator. http://remainerstoolkit.co.uk/cost.html?fbclid=IwAR1N3CN7AEHXsEpKGA75NdFclPT5PnjLGBNRNXvD1DckiKWp5AIdvGiYvNU

Just watch the money pishing away at over seven hundred quid a second.

Now I suppose you could say its assumptions based on money we have never had but Ive not seen a Brexit gain calculator yet and it is of course based on Bank of England estimates and figures which currently are running at around £440m a week compared to where we should have been if we had not voted to leave the EU.

Perhaps it will become more apparent when our standard of living slips further compared to our European neighbours, when that holiday you book this year is so much more expensive, when our services start to suffer more than they already are, when the jobs start to go. Sadly a lot of the real effects wont be seen until the horse has bolted. Still time to close the gate though.

For a bloke unable to distinguish left from right he'll never "get it"!! Putin has long championed the Brexit line even using some it's soundbites and telling May to "respect the will of the people" but Pelmethead will think that's "left wing" rhetoric unfavourable to Brexit!

No but undoubtedly he helped sway the vote of that there is no doubt and there is absolutely no doubt whatsoever that he is still working on our social media platforms backing Brexit. Im not saying Putin himself is sat with a laptop posting "Leave means Leave" and stuff but his social media bots / trolls are everywhere. You could be one of them. How do we know your in Spain and not St Petersburg?

Meanwhile in the 21 hours since I posted this thats roughly another £50 million quid down the toilet. A few cash strapped councils would have been glad of that. Might have saved a few schools or hospitals from closure that the Brexiteers claimed the funny foreigners from Europe that make the biggest net contribution to our economy were over stretching.

Actually there are almost as many facebook users my age as there are 18-24 year olds using it. Just like AggregateIQ though Putins bots will have been targeting a specific range of users. No point in going after the codgers, they were generally a safe bet to vote leave, equally no real point in chasing 18-24 years olds as they were also a safe bet to vote remain or just not get out of bed in time to vote. Its that bit in the middle that Dominic Cummings, AggIQ and Putin and his bots will have been after and millions of them are on social media.

Eh? There a vast difference between denying, as in Holocaust, Nazi war crimes, revisionism, Irving and the far right etc which as a fervent admirer and follower of far right extremism you will be well familiar with, than questioning certain reports on Salisbury.....though i'm at odds to see how you could connect that to the thread topic. How about chucking in Brexit voting scroats using illegal and highly dubious methods to overstay in Spain?

I support a political parties principles.....not a person. I'm not as fickle and naive as you who used to post on here about your beloved "Sainted" Theresa. Your fawning servility quickly changed on that didn't it?

That isnt what I said. My age bracket officially voted leave, just. 45-55 year olds voted in favour of leave but it was marginal. Equally 35-45 year olds voted to remain but it was also close. Both these age groups use Facebook and other social media quite a lot. They are the demographic that would have been targeted but the data mining goes much deeper than that. Software deployed drilled down into profiles, what you liked, what you shared and worked out who best in that floating category to target with pro Brexit guff. The more clicks they got the sharper their clever software got at targeting the right people.

There are nearly as many active Facebook users as there are voters. Nearly 40 million. If you know how to work social media and manipulate it as AggregateIQ and the Russians did (do) then you can influence the vote considerably and dont forget, they did not need to influence it by much as everyone knew we were totally divided.

Most people are when it comes to being given control of something they have absolutely no real knowledge of. Depends who gets to them first doesn't it and the remain campaign were crap in comparison to Cummings and his clever people in the back office.

The second most googled question in the UK right after the referendum was "what is the EU". I dunno what the first one was probably "where is the EU". That all sounds a bit patronising but the fact remains 99% of the public probably had no idea about the EU, our membership, how it all works and the real advantages and disadvantages of our membership so a lot were manipulated, they have been by our media for decades.

Still spreading fake news Barry ...........

Putin would be proud of his useful idiot ...........

BTW......On our local news last night they said bookings for holidays were up 40% in the South West........So that's yet another Brexit bonus ...........

You still dont get it do you? Putin is pro Brexit. He has thousands of little Bots trolling our social media supporting Brexit. How can me promoting anti Brexit stuff be useful to Putin. He is firmly fighting your corner I am afraid as he fought for you in the referendum.

So Putin made 17 million vote for Brexit?..........You Remaoners really are desperate fellows .......

One slight problem with your theory Barry .........

The kinda people who spend their time on social media platforms are in the main the young.........Brexiteers according to you are mainly old .........

So your "Putin made me do it" theory is just more Remoaner HOGWASH ...........

But you've already said only a minority folk of your age and younger voted leave? ..........

Your kinda proving your own theory is wrong Barry .........

So what you are saying is that those who are 35 to 55 year old are gullible and easily led? ..........

So I was right........You are gullible ...........

You've fallen for the Remoaner propaganda ...........

Nope, the older generation were not targeted as much or at all as they were a waste of time as most were a dead cert to vote leave. What they quickly figured out was a target section of the electorate that could be swayed and manipulated and the more they clicked on stuff the more accurate info they got on how to sway others and which demographic to target. They didnt need to sway the entire country, just enough to break the undecided country on the day and get it over the line.

Of course they had the yobbos of Brexit who were not part of the official campaign and dimwitted bulls**tter pollys like Boris going around and promising the earth as well or panicking people into thinking we were about to be invaded by 80 million Turks. So a combination of very clever campaigning online and downright lies from the yobbos manipulated enough people to win on the day. Trouble is winning in 2016 was one thing, delivering any of it as we now see is quite another which is why we are now in deep s**t.

None of that is conspiracy theory Antony. Its all out there in the public domain as fact. Go and research it. None of it is hidden or made up. If you had watched the film about it the other night you would have seen some of it covered. It was clever stuff, the only thing that tarnished it was some of it was questionable legally and some of their activity and overspending criminally illegal as was probably the source of Banks money.

And whaddaya mean I used to be fun? Im having fun, laughing my tits off at some of the stuff written on here and all over the ferkin internet on a daily basis.

I knew about it all already. I know about stuff like this you know! Ive worked (although that word is questionable these days) in IT for thirty years. Stuff like this interests me especially when it comes to using the internet and social media. If you had watched it you might have learned something. Its worth watching just for the Arron Banks character, he was hilarious.

Its odd that your saying it was remoaner propaganda when you havent watched it. I thought it was pretty balanced and truthful. It showed that Cummings was a very clever bloke who outwitted the remain campaign which was piss poor and it also showed most of the MP's up for being bumbling ill informed lying twits which they were.

The Brexiteers who didnt watch it are clearly up in arms about it because it didnt show their team in a glorious light and probably because the "happy ending" they were so delighted about at the time is too uncomfortable to watch as its all turned to rat s**t ever since once the lies were all exposed and the promises made back then gone up in a puff of smoke.

Viewed from the Remoaner perspective ...........

I didn't need to watch it.........I could tell from the trailers it was just more Remoaner propaganda ........

Doesn't seem to be working though does it?............seeing as you've dropped 2% in the polls when compared to the day before the referendum ...........

Depends which poll you look at but I agree, its not shifted much. You cannot really comment on the program just based on a trailer.

I think your right though, nothing is really having much effect on opinions because the only people listening are generally firmly entrenched. The vast majority of the population havent got a clue. You just have to listen to them being interviewed for comments on the news. Most of them seem no better informed than they were in 2016.

I have no idea now really if a second referendum will focus peoples minds more and make them think about Brexit and making the right decision I just hope now if we do leave we dont leave on Mays deal.

We made the right decision in June 2016 ............
