Guest Slacker
I know that one or two people on this site are rabid tree huggers, so here is a tip that will not only save you money but improve your life and save the planet as well.Lots of you buy an extra television for your motorhomes but don't you realise how much greenhouse gas is produced in making these small tellies? When I use my motorhome I take my 48" plasma TV with me. I can't be using it at home so why should it stand there doing nothing? If you swivel the seats around it will sit nicely across them and you get a brilliant picture from anywhere in the 'van. You can use an inverter but beware, both batteries will be dead after one episode of East Enders (my favourite programme)!I have a large generator which supplies enough juice to run the TV and top up the batteries at the same time. Obviously this runs outside the motorhome and it can be a little noisy but if you turn up the volume on the telly you can hardly hear it.
