Pornic is lovely town - you can park at the station overnight - it's a skip from the tourist information centre - (ok then 25 yards - big skip0
follow the path along the harbour and past the chateau and further on a bit and you come to a lovely beach - bit of ww2 history on a plaque on the way!
We bought some souveniers in Pornic and the lady in the shop gift wrapped them beautifully for us.

enjoy your time away Michele, we go as you come back.
take care and have a safe journey.
Carol

Hi All,
The Loire Valley is great. Chenonceaux is probably the best chateaux, look out for the huge fish, also Chambord Chateau and there they have an equestrian centre and they put on a display, we missed it as we went on a Monday and I dont think the horses do Mondays. At Chenonceaux they allow motorhomes to stay overnight for free. We stayed at Cheverney(well just down the road cant remember the name of the place), chateau also there. If you like cycling with the kids there is plenty to explore, you can even cycle to Blois, that would wear the big people out, but from our experience you can never wear the children out. You can stay on the riverside in Blois, again free. On the way back we went to St Valery sur somme, you can cycle for miles and its flat. There is a very nice Aires there, a few euros. Its fairly close to Calais so not to far to drive.
Where ever you end up have a great time, I'm jealous as I will be at work.
Off to Brixham Devon on the 12th June.
